Event by Pottery Perfection "Done Your Way"

206 S Front St, Fremont, OH, United States, Ohio 43420

Paint Me a Story is our art and literacy program for children ages 2-12. Our guest reader will read a story, and then the children will paint a corresponding piece of pottery. Our Thursday, February 26 (5:30-7:00 pm) PMAS is a very special one as we hold our annual fundraiser celebrating Ella the Great Dane's 9th birthday. Ella is the beautiful and beloved dog of Pottery Perfection co-owners, Joni and Paul Hasselbach.

Our guest reader for the month is Stefany Beiser. Stefany's hometown is Oak Harbor, and she currently lives in Fremont. She is the mother of two and currently dog mom to three. Stefany has been a foster mom to over 40 dogs. She has been with a dog rescue since 2014, and opened her own rescue, What's Up Dogg Canine Rescue, in 2025 to better support our local area. Stefany works full-time, in addition to being the director of the rescue. She enjoys the outdoors, dogs, and watching her kiddos play ball. Stefany will be reading, "Go, Dog. Go!" P.D. Eastman's Book of Things That Go. This classic children's story was originally created by Dr. Seuss. The book, featuring humorous illustrations, follows a group of dogs in cars, on bikes, and on skis, culminating in a joyful, tree-top celebration. It has inspired a popular Netflix animated series and a stage musical.

After the story is read, the party will begin as the kids select one of five adorable pottery dogs to paint. They will also enjoy yummy ice cream and cupcakes, and party hats will be included. Birthday Girl Ella will be there to meet and greet all her guests. The cost of this event is $25 (non-refundable) per child, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to What's Up Dogg Canine Rescue. Please register by February 25 to secure your spot.

We will also be collecting the following items, which will be donated to What's Up Dogg Canine Rescue: Martingale collars and leashes, slow feed bowls, bones, chews, dog food, and toys (no rawhide, please). Any donated items may be dropped off at Pottery Perfection during business hours from now until the evening of the event.
